** crap box ** the electronic knights pack series issue 24 * compiled and code by bifat * music adkd * gfx nero welcome to the first issue of crapbox in 2024... aptly numbered issue 24. which is packed to the brim with insanely good stuff mostly from the gerp party 2024! including our own production knight chips II, which ran in the wild competition at gerp. and check out the coming issues 25 and even 26 for more, as there was so much stuff at gerp in fact that it spreads over several issues. and lest we forget the compo pix. also check out our new year greetings, junction at hyperborea! what am I going to write now, to keep you entertained while you're listening to that great tune by adkd? actually I think this tune's even too good for just a packdisk menu but adkd produces so many good tunes that there are hardly bad ones to sort out or better ones to stash away. jade, ok3anos and adkd are on a spree. and me? just lazy and out of ideas... crisis, depression, no inspiration! luckily there's crapbox that helps me to get through the day and I'm just reading more comics than usual to cite some profound insight: dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope! guess where the quote comes from? freak brothers by gilbert shelton. 50 years old already, still highly recommended. or as nodepond once noted: I must be living in the past, because I'm always referring to old stuff. sounds plausible to me. or perhaps that's just an economical approach. there's always good stuff, but the good new stuff needs to solidify first. when contemporary zeitgeist crap kitsch has withered away the good stuff still stands as landmarks and you can consume it later, saving you lots of time and distractions, wading through lesser works. because... yes, my take on art is that it's detached from the present. it doesn't require context, and you recognize the good stuff without understanding references. and the references easily turn your stuff into garbage, if you don't pay attention. art in its purest form functions in a framework of just human nature. check out the chauvet cave paintings to understand what I mean. that's it for today! actually there might be a new project brewing... greetings: insane, dekadence, desire, pacific, istari, spreadpoint and zymosis! released: 13-feb-2024 ...wrap...
